The production of the Malibya Chips (Malunggay, Sulib, and Tulya) at Alfonso Castañeda, Nueva Vizcaya
The three main ingredients are Malunngay, Sulib and Tulya which are abundant in the locality that can support in producing the Malibya Chips. It will offer three flavored chips namely: original, spicy and cheese but the price is still the same
Nueva Vizcaya is a province that can be found between the Aurora Province and Nueva Ecija. Moreover, Alfonso Castañeda is one of the town of Nueva Vizcaya and one of the blessed places in the Phlippines because of its natural resources and clean rivers.
April 20, 1979, it became an independent municipality of Nueva Vizcaya , President Ferdinand E. Marcos signed and approved the request of the people that is being authored and sponsored by Assemblyman Padilla of Batas Pambansa No. 27. Alfonso Castañeda – named after the first Governor of Nueva Vizcaya who belongs to the cultural minority.
Year 2011, when the Department of Trade and Industry invited different schools from Region 2 to participate in the Entrepreneur Challenge- Business Plan Competition, and one of the criteria of this is to produce a product that the raw materials is localy available. The Alfonso Castañeda National High School joint and through the helped and creative mind of their TLE teacher Mrs. Haydee H. Calugtong they arrived in MALIBYA CHIPS ( Malunggay, Sulib, Tulya). She organized an Organization called YECS (Youth Entrepreneurship Cooperatives in School) and have canteen that offer this kind of business.
